PREMIUM SELECTIONS
8 mm+ — Extra-bold whole pods
8 mm and above
A large-pod selection for premium presentation. We assess natural green colour, mature seed fill and a clean, fresh aroma alongside the sieve size.

7–8 mm size selection
A larger-pod selection balancing appearance and aromatic use. Compare natural colour, seed fill and split-pod tolerance between lots.

Millimetres describe a sieve-size selection, not pod length. Labels such as bold and extra bold vary between traders, so the written size range and tolerance matter more than the adjective.

QUALITY PARAMETERS
Harvest & arrival: Arrival within six months of harvest depends on the spice’s harvest season and lot availability. The quotation confirms the harvest period and planned arrival window for your destination.
Size distribution: State the sieve range and permitted undersize percentage. Avoid treating an average pod size as a minimum size.
Colour & condition: Assess natural green colour, fading, split pods, damaged pods and extraneous matter; quantify tolerances in the offer.
Seed fill & aroma: Open representative pods to inspect seed fill and maturity. Evaluate aroma; agree volatile-oil analysis if required.
Moisture & storage: Record lot moisture and packing condition. Moisture protection and avoiding heat and light help preserve the pods during storage.
Food safety: Match residue and microbiological checks to the destination market. Required analyses and documents belong to the proposed lot.

PACKING
Discuss 5 kg or 10 kg inner packs within export cartons, or bulk packing matched to the order. Moisture protection, seal integrity and the agreed net weight are part of the packing specification.
The lot offer should show the size selection, colour and defect tolerances, measured moisture, packing format and quantity reserved against the quotation.
